Weekend; need i say more??
To be fair, i haven't quite gone out as much compared to last time. I think it's because of the weather. Ah, yes, the lovely Mancunian weather. At 5pm it's like 12 am in Malaysia. And when it rains, you don't need an umbrella! Of course you don't - the vicious wind makes the rain fail horizontally, not vertically. What we need is a face shield - heck, you don't need to wash your face in the morning when you get up - all you need is get a brisk walk around your area :)
What else is there - ah yes, praise the inventors of processed food. Praise the makers of frozen fish pies, fish fingers, canned baked beans, sliced wholemeal bread, pre-packed smoked salmon and frozen cooked mussels. Cooking has never been easier.
When I ramble on, you KNOW i have important things to do which i'm obviously not doing right about now.. like, perhaps, doing my seminar questions? That can wait, surely.
Black Stone Cherry - a new favourite of mine and Aly's. Think that it's quite possible that we'll be heading to another concert on the 5th of next month :)
Alright, quite enough of my foolish babbles (is that a word?) for now. I really need to go on reading about the Stuart monarchy. Joy!

I Realize
I.e.,
- i buy new clothes, instead of washing old ones.
- i drink from the plastic mineral bottles and not the cups, because i don't
wanna wash them later. - i only wash my frying pan at the end of the day after cooking all 3 meals - and this is only when I can't find something pre-packed to eat
Yes, parents should be so proud.
Anyway, woohoo class is gonna start on Monday :) Can't wait! haha.. erm.. right now, bored like hell. I stayed in the entire day because i thought of cleaning up my room. HA!
Most of my flatmates went back to visit their bf/parents for the weekend.. bloody hell! Thank God not all of them went :S *So lonely*
Anyway, omg Gossip Girl! Ahh!! Bloody scandalous incest! What more can a TV addict want than this lol....
Also, Grey's Anatomy Season 5's first episode's out. Great stuff too :)
Erm erm.. nothing much going on here in Manchester (did I mention i'm in the uk now?), save for the fact that (hopefully i'm not jinxing it) it's SO SUNNY AND RAIN-FREE :)
Saturday's Fresher's Ball, and I got tickets! No idea what to wear yet, so gonna head over to the city centre to shop a bit...
I love my room. Once i tidy it up a bit (which may take a while, considering it's still messy even though i moved in about a week ago) I'll take a picture and post it up. Then you can get to see my huge wall poster which has 5 naked girls on it lol
I've a potted plant too. I'm naming it Valli. I think it means strong in Italian or something like that. lol
One Republic was here in Manchester and I didn't go for it! I'm regretting quite a bit right now.. but i was feeling a tad too kiamsiap to buy tickets to see them (even when it was only 18 pounds lol)
Very bored girl, a very messy room and overly distracting flatmates. A disastrous combination that urges me to get me arse off my chair and try to at least fold my clothes properly and place them in the closet.

I Call Bullshit!
As I have observed in the past few years, Malaysians typically avoid their gazes at them by turning their heads downwards, or pretending to be oblivious of the fact that there is indeed someone by your side, asking you to help their day by making it more bearable.
Ok I understand that some of us can hardly make it through the day without skimming their money, after what's left of them paying for their taxes, rental, insurance and daily expenditures.
But please, PLEASE, don't give me this 100 year old Malaysian bullshit that these people are having an easy life! Oh, don't smirk when you read this.. I know most of you would say exactly this when this people beg for money;
"Hey, don't you know that these beggars can earn up to RM2000 a month? And most of them are in syndicates you know. It's better for you not to help them because in the long run, these syndicates will close down."
Yeah. EASY FOR YOU TO SAY. First of all, how would YOU really know exactly which one of them's working in the syndicate? You don't. You're just taking a guess there.
Secondly, for God's sake, if the man's blind or missing an arm/leg, have the decency not to tell me that they've got it easy by making that much money. Please la, go poke yourself in the eye, and then wander around begging for money. Then tell me if that's an easy thing to do or not.
Thirdly, if you can't donate, that's fine by me. I mean obviously, I'm not asking everyone to donate. If you can't afford to, then don't. But don't go about telling those who actually do donate that they're making a serious mistake.
And the best of it all....
I have this friend. OMG the things she says. A blind man/woman (can't remember) came up to us so I just gave him some money. And she had the INDECENCY to tell me right in front of that person that he/she might not be blind at all! And that he/she was just bluffing! OMG for the love of God, do you know how sharp a blind person's hearing is? And besides, you told me this in a louder-than-usual voice. The people at the other table could here us, for crying out loud!
Look, it's really easy for people to criticize. But then ask yourself. WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?
A small contribution is all that's needed to make someone's life that much easier.
Pissing off. So maybe this whole outlook of mine ain't all that objective; perhaps it leans towards a more subjective one. But hey, respect my decision and don't give me crap like that. Karma's a goddamn bitch, and if so happens you get bitten by it one day in the ass, don't hold your breath hoping that someone's gonna make life easier for you.
A Simulated Tragedy

It's an addictive game which isn't concern about your level and score,

Larry Lark was the name of my Sim,
An okay-looking chap but nontheless slim,
As a lover of Bella Goth he could be labelled as a nymph,
Whoever thought that he'd meet his end in such a state of grim.
*
*
I was happily playing the game when his kitchen went ablaze,
All I could do was just sit there and gaze,
By the time the fireman arrived he was running up and down as if caught in a maze,
All that was left of him was nothing more than a pile of dust, not to mention a ball of haze.
*
*
Oh, dearest Larry Lark,
You're gone and all because your cooking skills suck!
I should've installed that fire alarm but that would've cost more than a buck,
And to think I've created you 28 hours ago - of all the rotten luck.
